Life doesn't stop, and neither should your spiritual growth. You don't have to be tied to a specific time or place for Bible study anymore. Study Gateway makes studying the Bible more flexible.

With on-the-go access, you can stop doom scrolling and start doing something more purposeful with your downtime:

This flexibility means you can engage with Scripture consistently, weaving faith into the fabric of your day-to-day. The ability to stream your Bible study time from any device ensures that you have the best tools right at your fingertips.

One of Study Gateway's most practical features for on-the-go learning is background audio playback. Sometimes you can't watch a video, but you can still listen to it. This feature allows you to play the audio portion of a study even when you lock your phone or switch to another app. It essentially turns any video study into a podcast, making it perfect for times when your eyes need to be elsewhere, but your heart and mind are ready to listen.

To enable it, toggle “on” the Background audio playback feature in your app settings. Then, simply start a video in the Study Gateway app and lock your screen or navigate to another app. The audio will continue to play, allowing you to absorb the teaching without being tied to the video display.

Here are six practical ways to integrate Study Gateway’s rich library of bible study videos into your busy schedule.

1. Through the Mobile App on Your Smartphone

A convenient way to study on the go is with the dedicated Study Gateway app, available for both Apple and Android devices. Your smartphone is likely always with you, making it the perfect portal for spontaneous or planned study sessions. Download a few study sessions before you leave home to watch offline, ensuring you have access even without a stable internet connection.

2. On a Tablet During Your Lunch Break

A tablet offers a larger screen than a phone but is still portable enough to slip into a work bag. Set it up on your desk during your lunch break or find a quiet corner in a coffee shop to watch a session. It’s a great way to create a focused study environment away from home.

3. On Your Laptop While Traveling

Whether you’re in a hotel room on a business trip or visiting family out of state, your laptop provides a reliable way to keep up with your study routine. The web-based platform is accessible from any browser, so you can log in and pick up right where you left off, no matter how far from home you are.

4. Casting to a TV for a Family Study

Many smart TVs and streaming devices (like Chromecast, Apple TV, or Roku) allow you to "cast" content from your phone or tablet directly to the big screen. This is a wonderful way to transform a personal study into a shared experience with your spouse, children, or friends. Next time you're on a family vacation or a trip with friends, gather in the hotel living room for a Bible study night to keep everyone grounded in God's Word.

5. Using the Background Audio Feature During a Walk

The background audio feature is a game-changer. Put in your headphones, start a study on your phone, and head out for a walk. Combining physical exercise with spiritual nourishment can be a powerful way to clear your head and connect with God in a new way. It makes your daily exercise a time of dual refreshment for body and soul.

6. In the Car with Bluetooth

Connect your phone to your car’s stereo via Bluetooth and stream the audio of a study during your daily commute. Instead of listening to the same songs on the radio, you can use that time to learn from teachers like Max Lucado, Lysa TerKeurst, or Louie Giglio. It's an easy way to redeem what is often lost time and arrive at your destination feeling spiritually uplifted.
